The resistor is a passive device that generates an additional load which is to eliminate problems with electronic checking if the bulb is burned out.
Checking if the bulb is blown is done in two ways:
1. Checking the signal continuity - whether the current flows through the system (including the light bulb)
2. Checking the load - if the load differs significantly from the standard, the computer displays an error (This may happen when we install LED bulbs that consume much less current than ordinary bulbs) - in this situation, choose an appropriate resistor that will help eliminate the load difference and thus "blown bulb" error (and other errors and messages of the on-board computer, e.g., "no bulb", flashing lights, disconnecting lights or incorrect frequency of direction indicators)
The system is used in cars with Can-Bus and some others.
Attention! The resistor must be installed on the metal element due to the possibility of heating up.
